Per the thread on Microsoft has been aware of the issue for about a week, but no resolution as of yet.Anyone know of any sources of additional information on this issue? f=96&t=10615I've read good things about epg123. I rather not upset my configuration I have hand-built over the years if I don't have to. The DVBLink software has an elaborate guide setup process which is why I am guessing there was an error message on that system when this issue was in effect (and not on the other). The guide data on both systems currently extends to March 31st. Allowing me to archive any recordings I want on my server (automatically or manually) and access them from any computer I want.
The problem auto corrected itself which is very gratifying. Microsoft Media Center is a fairly mature product and doesn't quite feel dated or fully abandoned to me,...... However, I would think that in due time I might want some new features like 4K video support.
I filter through Cable Card recordings and dump the restricted ones,....
How to Run System Restore in Windows 7, Vista or XP After the restart, please test if Windows Media Center works better this time.
If the problem still continues, please try to uninstall Windows Media Center and then re-install.
Do you know of any guides that will aid in the conversion to epg123 with minimal disruption?
This issue happens a few times a year, basically it gets fixed at zero hour and we all hold our breath until it's fixed. Here is my screen shot: If the problem continues, I suggest that you do a system restore. It will only restore your computer's system files back to a saved "state" know as restore points. When you do System Restore, choose a restore point which is dated back to the time and date when this problem has not yet occurred. Best regards, Jess Yes, just a few days ago when I opened Windows Media Center the channel numbers were listed but no guide beyond that.I am running low on disk space but wouldn't think that would be the problem. I didn't want to troubleshoot a system if there was nothing wrong with it. The two dedicated Media Center systems I use are slightly different and have slightly different setups. Somewhere, I recall reading a post about how someone was "ready" if/when MS ever drops guide support - that they'd essentially work around it. It kind of honestly scares me that they'll one day just dump media center and leave people out in the cold. While I do have Cable Card and like it well enough for casual use, my Hauppauge HD PVR USB units and Hauppauge Colossus PCIe card are setup as primary tuners on their respective systems.
